I am Jonathan.

Hi, fancy seeing you here. My name’s Jonathan, and I am a tech nerd. Moving on from the confessionals, I’m currently a student, programmer, tutor, web designer, and idealist. Learning about new hardware and software truly excites me, as I’ve been working with them for quite a few years now. I feel almost blessed to be in the generation I’m in, because I’ve had the opportunity to grow up with the technology and be influenced by it.

IT Experience:

I host a server named Livecraft at http://www.livecraft.us. While this server is a Minecraft server to the public, it serves a much larger purpose for me. It originally was running Windows 7 Home Edition, which powered my Minecraft server back in 2011. I immediately saw that this was not optimal, and began working on making it lighter. I found that a headless Linux server would be easiest, but this was far beyond anything I’d ever experienced. I was lost for a while, unsure of how I was even supposed to connect. I would look up commands, scripts, and the like. After a while, I understood the bash shell interpreter quite well, to the point where I began making shell scripts. I am now a Linux developer and do many shell scripts, which can be seen on https://github.com/alfonsojon and https://github.com/roblox-linux-wrapper. I aim to be a Microsoft SharePoint developer and Linux Systems administrator/Database administrator some day.
